The Opportunity

Truist is looking for a Part-time Business Development Manager (remote) to join our team as a brand evangelist and revenue stimulator, helping us deliver high-impact, human-centered Talent Brand, Experience & Marketing solutions to senior level HR & Marketing leaders and Talent Brand practitioners. The successful candidate will help more companies maximize their potential through people-first practices, (and in turn help workers enjoy their life and work a bit more), by identifying, developing and closing revenue generating opportunities such as Consulting project contracts, Monthly ConsultingMembership sales, keynote speaking & workshop opportunities, eProduct sales, and more.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Researching, prospecting and securing new business opportunities by developing and presenting relevant solutions that help clients achieve their talent experience, brand & marketing objectives while keeping Truist’s brand integrity intact
  • Managing a growing pipeline and accurately forecasting new business and existing revenue booked
  • Nurturing + deepening relationships with prospective and past client relationships, being responsive, visible and engaging
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create attractive offers, proposals and solutions for prospective, current and past clients
  • Supporting promotions and seasonal target marketing campaigns aimed at filling Truist’s learning-based Accelerator and MasterClass programs
  • Participating in regular sales meetings and providing ongoing reporting and feedback to management
  • Managing referral relationships with strategic partners to ensure their client teams are knowledgeable about Truist’s offerings and when to engage us
  • Managing client contracts and SOWs according to defined operational processes
  • Assisting in the formation of sales strategies to keep Truist competitive and innovative
  • Ultimately, ensuring all sales goals are met or exceeded
  • Identifying operational improvement opportunities in Truist’s Sales processes and assets to support scalable growth

About you

  • You inherently align with our 4 Core Values, and are a team player with a willingness to get in the weeds to get things done while maintaining an open, growth-oriented mindset
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales/business development with proven results
  • An excellent understanding of employer branding / HR Consulting industry, and key competition a major plus
  • Established network of C-suite / C-1 HR and Marketing contacts
  • Experience building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships at a wide variety of seniority levels
  • A highly organized self-starter, who is comfortable with defined sales targets /numbers oriented
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills with the ability to build sales decks and sales materials
  • Experience answering RFPs and creative briefs to deliver compelling best-in-class solution options and partnership opportunities
  • Balance of creative and analytical thinking
  • Success track record of working from home. Highly self-motivated and disciplined
  • You love being on the phone and have finesse connecting and building authentic relationships with others
